Corporate Compliance Jobs: Marcus Beasley placement with Boehringer Ingelheim

Conselium Compliance Search has completed a search on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim. Mr. Marcus Beasley began his role of Director Ethics & Compliance August 8, 2011 for their U.S. operations.

Mr. Beasley’s Responsibilities include:

  • Establishment of goals and priorities of compliance for business units
  • Developing and implementing compliance systems and tools
  • Drafting and communicating policies
  • Developing and implementing compliance training
  • Developing monitoring and auditing systems
  • Reporting to senior management, including the respective Boards of the Companies, on compliance issues
  • Act as a member and chairs the Companies’ Executive Compliance Committees and Compliance Task Forces
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR and other Departments to ensure effective management of cross-Department compliance controls, including investigations, audits, training, communications, etc.

Mr. Beasley was previously Senior Compliance Manager for Abbott Laboratories. He also worked for Sanofi-Synthelabo and Pfizer. He is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Friends University and Morehouse College.

Boehringer Ingelheim — seller of popular over-the-counter remedies Zantac and Dulcolax, as well as prescription Flomax for enlarged prostate — makes a host of prescription and OTC products, not to mention fine chemicals and pet medications. Its prescription drugs include treatments for respiratory ailments, hypertension, HIV, and depression. Boehringer also offers cold, gastrointestinal, and pain remedies, as well as vaccines, drugs, and nutritionals for farm animals and pets. The company operates worldwide. The founding Boehringer family controls the company through parent company C.H. Boehringer Sohn.
