Managing Multiple Generations

By January 15, 2015 No Comments

Organizations are facing a unique challenge these days.  The American workforce is as diverse as ever, with workers spanning four generations.  Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y comprise 95 percent of today’s workforce, and their defining characteristics and motivations are about as diverse as can be.  “Traditionalists,” born between 1922 and 1945, make up the remainder, and while they represent a shrinking portion of the working population, they too need to be taken into consideration as companies seek to understand how best to recognize and reward their staff’s contributions throughout the year.
