Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Global Director of Ethics and Compliance, you will provide direct oversight of moderate to complex elements of compliance program
- Partner with all levels of key business functions to provide functional ethics and compliance policy interpretation and provide guidance on the requirements
- Conduct compliance risk assessments, trend analysis and provide recommendations for compliant business activities
- Conduct policy and procedure reviews and updates related to ethics and compliance policy and functional procedures ensuring clarity, applicability and compliance
- Develop, deliver and update comprehensive ethics and compliance training program on policies and procedures, including the Operating Procedures for Program Funding and Code of Business Conduct, as well as the current compliance environment
- Develop, implement, modify, and oversee corporate and/or functional monitoring plans and any corrective actions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Assist Director on compliance audits, when necessary, such as overseeing the fulfillment of auditors’ requests and acting as a liaison between the business and auditors during on site activities
- Evaluate and help respond to preliminary audit findings and recommendations, and guide the business in preparing corrective action(s) to address findings and recommendations, and work with the business to ensure timely completion
- Provide guidance on proposed business strategies and programs, identify legal and regulatory issues, analyze alternatives and works with legal and other functions, as appropriate, to propose solutions to the business
- Participate in and may lead cross-functional ethics and compliance programs
Requirements:
- Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Desirable Education: Masters, JD or other advanced degree
- Desirable certification: CCEP or CHC
- Compliance Experience: You must bring a minimum of five years of compliance and ethics experience from a pharmaceutical or biotech background
- Location requirements: You will be expected to relocate to the Greater Chicago area when it is safe and viable to do so – remote working option not available long term
