We are representing a rapidly growing multi-state healthcare services business with an in-house pharmacy in their search for a Chief Compliance Officer in Wayne, NJ.

Expectations first 12 months:
● Conduct enterprise-wide compliance risk assessment to establish priorities in development of compliance function
● Work alongside CEO and other executives in implementation and improvement of compliance function based on risk assessment findings
● Understanding growth plans of the business and build appropriate compliance structure around those goals
Responsibilities:
● Reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, responsible for the overall management and supervision of the company’s compliance, ethics and privacy functions
● Leading Compliance team including Compliance Managers
● Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance and provide advice directly to business executives and unit leaders, cultivating compliance culture across the business
● Maintaining ongoing awareness of compliance risks and regulatory impacts, developing and implementing strategies to address these risks and establishing a strong culture of compliance
● Ensure the company is compliant with all Federal and State regulations associated with business operations
● Determine and oversee adequate policies, procedures, audits and inspections to ensure the safety and integrity of supported individuals and employees
● Responsible for maintaining compliance helpline and ensuring appropriate follow up and tracking process
● Take responsibility for national accreditation in partnership with State and other home Office leadership
● Develop and implement overall policies and procedures at the corporate level to ensure the effective monitoring and oversight of compliance
● Accountable for developing strategies and innovative processes for ensuring that all areas of the company have a comprehensive understanding of obligations under statutes, regulations, and internal policies relative to compliance, ethics and privacy
● Develop effective compliance training and communication programs to educate employees on the legal and ethical standards that apply to their jobs
● Develop compliance and ethics training to reflect new and forthcoming developments in law and business ethics
● Serve as the Chairperson of the Company’s Compliance Committee
Requirements:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree; Strongly Desirable Education: JD
● Compliance Experience: You must bring significant healthcare compliance and leadership experience, in addition to a strong working knowledge of pharmacy regulations and exposure to multi-state pharmacy compliance. Experience with USP 797/800 and other pharmaceutical compounding compliance knowledge highly preferred.
