Conselium Compliance Search has just completed a search on behalf of Biogen Idec. Mr. Sven Hansen will begin his role of Senior Manager Compliance October 3, 2011 at the company’s offices in Prague, Czech Republic.
Mr. Hansen Responsibilities include:
- Provide compliance counseling and resolve questions from internal clients regarding compliance policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct and anti-corruption policies.
- Implement policies and procedures designed to prevent and detect conduct inconsistent with the company’s policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Drive education and awareness on compliance.
- Design and execute compliance training programs for internal employees and its business partners.
- Investigate, resolve and remediate alleged misconduct and violations of policies.
Mr. Hansen was previously Compliance Officer for Johnson & Johnson. Previous experiences include working for ExxonMobil and Accenture. Mr. Hansen has degrees in Political Science and Russian language.
Biogen Idec aims to meet the unmet needs of patients. The biotech giant is focused on developing treatments in the areas of immunology, and neurology. Its product roster includes best-selling Avonex, the most popular drug for the treatment of relapsing multiple sclerosis; Rituxan, a monoclonal antibody developed with Genentech that treats non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and rheumatoid arthritis; multiple sclerosis and Crohn’s disease drug Tysabri; and Fumaderm, a psoriasis drug marketed in Germany.
