Expectations first 12 months:
- Build relationships and awareness across a region of satellite offices, primarily on the East Coast
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer, Compliance Director and other members of the team in continuing to build a best in class and highly robust compliance program
- Assist in the development of compliance policies, auditing and monitoring processes, and enforcement of compliance requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, management and leadership of the divisional compliance program while supporting the VP, Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Director
- Development of policies, education, communications, and maintenance of processes to determine the Company’s compliance with its policies and industry regulations
- Planning and completing annual site visits to a variety of national locations, ensuring correct compliance policies and procedures are being adhered to, conducting audits
- Prepare and distribute site visit correspondence to communicate visit findings with appropriate levels of management
- Provide support in the completion of day-to-day operation of the Compliance Program
- Collaborate with other departments and personnel (for example, Human Resources, Regional Vice Presidents, Facility Administrators/Directors, Clinical Quality Specialists, Billing Managers, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
- Assist in the investigation and monitoring of calls to the Compliance Hotline
- Assist in monitoring and reporting of Compliance Program elements and taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
- Assist in monitoring Divisional compliance programs, training and education
- Assist in coordination and maintaining of annual documentation of Compliance Program initiatives
- Perform special assignments and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- CHC or CCEP Certification required
- Ability to travel up to 30% for site visits with the US
- Experience as a healthcare compliance professional with exposure to training and communications, policy and procedure management and compliance audit
- Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations and standards and positive experience in managing the 7 Elements of a Compliance Program including risk assessment and auditing
