Data shows us that a company’s productivity directly correlates to their employees moods; a pleased employee creates pleasing results. Your employees are the back bone of your company; they turn concepts into reality and do all the heavy lifting.
Here are a few ideas to help keep your employees content:
- Teach your managers how to give positive feedback to employees. A pat on the back goes a long way into the effort an employee gives. Negative feedback has been shown to increase the amount of employee sick days and lessens morale.
- Keep your decisions as transparent as possible. Employees don’t work well in an environment they deem unfair. Explain your actions and keep, or gain, your employees trust.
- Make sure your employees feel valued; an employee who feels that they don’t fit in won’t hold themselves to the same standard you do. Invest sometime in morale.
