What could be more time-consuming than the hiring process?

Whether you’re hiring for entry-level positions or upper-level management, your time is extremely valuable. Luckily, there’s a range of employment professionals to assist you.

But which do you need — a staffing agency or a retained employment consultant?

Most junior and entry-level positions are filled using the contingency recruiting model, i.e., staffing or employment agency, personnel recruitment or placement agency.

On the flipside, executive or retained search is used to fill those upper level management positions.

These “head hunters” are retained for their specialized skills as they usually come from a senior-level management position.

So when do you need to use either service?

– When filling upper level positions.

– When confidentiality is crucial to both parties.

While people still use larger job sites such as Monster.com, a head hunter is actively seeking candidates at any point in time, making the chances of connecting prospective employees to a suitable company much higher.
