It’s easy to get comfortable in our jobs and our lives. To become stagnant. But there’s danger there; stop moving forward and you’ve stopped learning. Not only is continued learning critical to maintaining a competitive edge and facilitating ongoing success, but study after study has shown that continuing to learn as we age keeps our minds sharper and more engaged. While it’s true that picking up new skills and becoming well versed in new areas may be more challenging as our lives fill with work, family and a host of other adult responsibilities, don’t despair: lifelong learning doesn’t have to be a time-consuming affair, and certainly not a formal one.
