Expectations first 12 months:
- Establish self as a business partner and build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the region
- Continue ongoing compliance risk assessment for region, in collaboration with global compliance management
- Continue development of 2019 compliance plan including process management, training program, tools and technology
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Global Chief Compliance Officer, you will continue development, implementation and operation of the regional compliance program, based on industry best practices
- Conduct ongoing regional compliance risk assessment and develop appropriate corrective action plans and provide guidance on avoiding similar situations in future
- Monitoring and reporting results of the compliance program; Implement process to ensure compliance with the local, state and federal law and regulations of regulatory agencies and authorities
- You will lead compliance communication and training programs for the region including travel for in person education and consultation
- Your specific coverage will include but is not limited to Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Data Protection, Privacy, AML, Anti-Fraud, Third Party Due Diligence, Training, Hotline Management
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Languages: Business level English and Spanish essential
- Compliance Experience: You must bring significant international compliance experience, preferably from a healthcare, medical technology or pharmaceutical background
- You should be open to international and domestic travel on a consistent basis, particularly during the first year of the role where it will be necessary to meet stakeholders throughout the region
- Strong knowledge of international compliance regulation including FCPA and HIPAA
- You should be comfortable with autonomy, strategic and hands on compliance management, and interacting directly with senior executives
