Expectations first 12 months:
• Develop collaborative relationships with executive team peers, colleagues, direct reports and business partners
• Conduct enterprise wide privacy-focused risk assessment and build a plan for continued development of the global privacy program
Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Global Chief Compliance Officer and managing a team of seven, overseeing the global privacy organization and program to enable business growth and ensure organizational compliance with laws, regulations, and standards
• Developing, implementing and administering the global privacy strategy and program; supporting appropriate updated to the Board, senior leadership and Global Compliance and Privacy Committee
• Lead and inspire a team of professionals, with a focus on talent development and business impact
• Develop and drive an integrated Privacy Program and strategy to enable business results and promote an understanding of and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
• Coordinate with leaders and subject matter experts across global business to ensure a unified program
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide privacy policies, procedures, and training
• Conduct risk analyses and provide recommended solutions for any gaps or inconsistencies
• Conduct ongoing auditing and monitoring activities in coordination with other appropriate functions, such as Internal Audit, Compliance, IT Security, and Legal
• Provide periodic updates on privacy risk assessment and program status to Global Compliance and Privacy Committee, senior leadership, and Board committees, as appropriate
• Oversee planning and execution of projects in accordance with agreed timelines and budget
• Reliably estimate and manage resources to achieve program and project objectives
• Recommend improvements to increase efficiency, simplicity, and speed of action.
• Maintain deep knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset and proposes enhancements to the Privacy Program informed by business needs, industry trends, and best practices
• Participate in industry associations to raise the profile of the Privacy Program and organization
Qualifications:
• Essential Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Desirable Education: JD
• You will bring several years of executive level privacy leadership experience, including a global focus to include GDPR
