No matter what side of the table you’re on, job hunting is a difficult process (and even a pain!)
It’s such a routine, that after a while you just want to get it over with and you either offer or accept the offer that’s just been presented to you. Is that always the right way to go through?
In a survey conducted by the consulting firm Development Dimensions International (DDI), “half of new employees reported that they are experiencing buyer’s remorse after accepting a recent job offer.”
All you want is to find a job, and pretty soon you get so worn out that you’ll accept anything. Is it really what you want?
The survey also stated that “one in eight new workers proved to be a bad-hire during a 12-month period.”
So how can you decide which job/candidate is the right one for you?
Companies want to fill positions, candidates want to fill those positions, yet there’s still a discrepancy in the middle of whether there is a match.
There needs to be confidence when you’re on the market and realistic expectations from the get-go.
Time is money, money is time, and knowing what you want both as an employer and an employee is important during the hiring process.
So if you’re questioning your new job or hiring decision, sit back, relax and ask yourself what it is you’re looking for.
