Regional Compliance Officer

We are representing a national Medical Device and Healthcare Group in their search for a Regional Compliance Officer for the Western US Region.

Expectations first 12 months:
- Build understanding of business and develop relationships with key executives and stakeholders
- Conduct ongoing compliance risk assessment, identifying weaknesses, creating policies and procedures
- Assist Chief Compliance Officer in rolling out a uniform enterprise-wide corporate compliance program, utilizing training and marketing tools to gain buy in across the business
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Corporate Compliance Program by implementing and improving enterprise-wide compliance initiatives – including Compliance Helpline and Ethics Point, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, accreditation standards, coding rules, billing requirements and regulatory guidance
- Prepare compliance division for compliance with federal, state and local laws and industry standards
- Maintain a working knowledge of CMS program rules, relevant laws and regulations
- Enforce Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Execute comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential areas of vulnerability
- Evaluate the organization’s risk assessment and Office of Inspector General’s annual work plan
- Assist with conducting internal monitoring and auditing
- Respond appropriately if a violation is uncovered, internally and externally
- Oversee the creation of regularly scheduled compliance metric reports used to demonstrate
- compliance effectiveness
- Lead routinely scheduled compliance meetings with regional leadership and management.
- Assist with maintenance and oversight of enterprise licensing and governmental credentialing, complaints and incidents, internal and external audit activity or performance improvement activities
Requirements:
- Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree, Compliance certification desired (CHC)
- Ability to travel around various West US regional locations – up to 50% travel
- Compliance Experience: You must bring significant medical device or healthcare compliance and leadership experience, including code of conduct, compliance helpline, CMS, HIPAA, compliance training and communication
