Compliance Director

We are representing a private for-profit healthcare company in their search for a Compliance Director

Expectations first 12 months:
- Assess current compliance processes and procedures, identify areas for improvement and implement best-practice changes
- Build relationships with various business leadership team members, ensuring buy-in of compliance objectives
- Develop active approach to compliance program development, understanding current and future laws and regulations that will impact the business and plan and implement change to ensure compliance
- Continuing effective management and responses to quarterly and annual external compliance audits
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate daily with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensure that regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards relative to CMS/Medicare Part D guidelines
- Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews
- Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress
- Monitor compliance systems to ensure effectiveness, planning and implementing change where required
- Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate
- Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assesses the potential impact of these changes on organizational compliance processes
- Design and implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards
- Advise technical professionals on the development or use of environmental compliance or reporting tools
- Develop and implement quality improvement work plan
- Supervise activities of the company’s Quality Management Program on a day to day basis
Requirements:
- Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree, CHC or similar certification desirable
- Compliance Experience: You must bring healthcare compliance leadership experience, which must include a strong understanding of CMS compliance requirements
