Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Ethics and Compliance (E&C) Lead for Europe with one direct report; partnering directly with various business leaders, you will be responsible for operational and strategic oversight of the UK and Ireland Ethics and Compliance program
- Design, localisation and operationalisation of E&C program elements, advising business colleagues to drive integration of E&C into their plans & operations and represent E&C in internal and external governance bodies/authorities
- Maintain knowledge of all industry codes and of all applicable laws and regulations; monitor and follow up of key developments that would impact the business; advise the business regarding existing and future provisions, ensuring appropriate planning and preparation of remediation actions if needed
- Drive risk assessments for E&C, ensuring stakeholders are informed of risks and implementing remediation plans
- Actively participate in local industry trade association compliance (or related) committees, helping drive appropriate decision-making on key issues, integrating best practices and benchmarking into the overall approach
- Ensure development, implementation, management, maintenance, continuous improvement and interpretation of compliance-related policies, procedures, country specific requirements and practices
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and deliver awareness education, policies and procedures training
- Implement robust monitoring plans based on the risk assessment; analysing root causes and trends
- Ensure accountability is exercised through administration of policies and applicable regulations; ensure allegations of misconduct are reported in a timely manner; provide support during investigations as needed
- Partner with Global Internal Audit on audits, while maintaining full objectivity and independence
- Conduct due diligence activities of third parties and associated compliance risk assessment and minimization
- Ensure ethics and compliance documents, records, and files are organized and maintained in an effective way
- Provide advice and guidance to the business on E&C matters, including identified risk areas and interactions with healthcare professionals, government officials, healthcare institutions, patients and patient groups
- Co-create and collaborate on business initiatives to foster innovation and creation of meaningful solutions for patients while ensuring integrity and ethical principles are respected
- Driving the tone from the top in integrity and leveraging communication cascade to the organisation to maintain a high level of awareness in ethical business conduct
- Further develop local E&C Champions or Ambassadors and Champion speak-up, transparency and a culture of integrity throughout the organisation
Requirements:
- Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: You must bring a minimum of five years of compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry including practical exposure to ABPI
