Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the VP Compliance and Compliance Director, you will be responsible for being the primary compliance resource for operations teams to promote and ensure compliance with applicable consumer lending laws and regulations and managing the regulatory compliance process, using your proven track record for providing effective compliance risk management advice and oversight to consumer loan programs
• Understand credit card loan acquisition and servicing activities forth development and maintenance of strong operational controls targeted at mitigating compliance risk assessed with various processes throughout the business lines
• Provide second-line independent oversight and guidance regarding operations business products, services, and processes through a compliance framework to ensure they are executed in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Partner with the operations business line management in developing policies, procedures, processes, standards, customer communications and marketing materials that meet regulatory requirements
• Identify and monitor relevant regulatory updates and compliance trends to identify potential upstream risks and issues and partners with business line management to identify solutions and risk mitigation strategies
• Communicate compliance concerns timely and effectively to business line management and to Compliance leadership
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations applicable to loan servicing business
• Have a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment, applicable rules and regulations applicable to the area of responsibility; understand and clearly communicate the difference between regulatory requirements, industry standards and business risk decisions
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in Compliance and in the company and strategic partners; provide timely objective and constructive feedback to management, colleagues and staff
Qualifications:
• Essential Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• You will bring several years of consumer compliance experience, ideally including credit cards
• You will have proven experience partnering with operations and other business counterparts
