Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, managing a team of 12 with three direct reports, you will focus on the operation and management of the compliance program and be primarily responsible for implementation and ongoing support of the compliance program at the local facility level across all services and locations
• Responsible for managing the business integrity partner team to support and partner with local Ethics and Compliance Officers to execute the enterprise-wide compliance program
• Develop the strategy to drive compliance risk mitigation efforts at local facilities by establishing expectations for local compliance personnel, developing and executing a strategic plan
• Coordinate the preparation of appropriate reports to use data to determine resource allocation for risk mitigation efforts for local compliance risk; escalate issues to the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer and the impacted business leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate
• Responsible for aligning with operations to develop and implement proactive prevention-focused compliance initiatives to mitigate organizational compliance risk
• Managing the partnership between compliance and local leadership teams and division operations teams
• Supervise, direct, coach and mentor directors, managers, and others within the compliance business integrity partner team in line with achieving the objectives of the compliance department
• Ensure all applicable licenses and certifications are maintained for the performance of the function of the team; support team members to maintain the necessary competencies
• Manage collaborative work with legal, operations and others to ensure material compliance impacting corrective action plans are implemented
• Supervise the business integrity partner team’s work with legal and operations to interpret legal advice to drive and develop compliant operations action plans
• Participate in or otherwise support internal investigations conducted by other functional areas, including compliance investigations, human resources, legal and revenue cycle
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all work matters and fully comply with all legal and ethical obligations, the Company Code of Conduct, and the Code of Ethics for Healthcare Professionals adopted by the Health Care Compliance Association
Requirements:
• Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Desirable Certification: CHC certified
• Compliance Experience: You must bring significant healthcare provider compliance and leadership experience, ideally including post-acute and behavioral health
• You must have demonstrable exposure to integrating compliance into business units and managing teams of people to drive exceptional performances
