Conselium Compliance Search has completed a search on behalf of Johnson Controls. Ms. Kimberly White began her role of Director, Legal Compliance February 21, 2011 at the company’s offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Ms. White’s Responsibilities include:
- Develops and oversees world-wide legal compliance program and implements policies, guidelines and procedures. The compliance plans core is: Anti-trust, Anti-competition, trade compliance & due diligence
- Identifies potential areas of legal compliance vulnerability and risk within the business and insures that appropriate individuals or groups are assigned responsibility for compliance oversight.
- Responsible for enforcing standards of conduct and ethical relationships between the company and customers, contractors, suppliers, employees and shareholders.
- Manages response to suspected violations of the Ethics Policy or related policies by recommending investigations of such violations and disciplinary action or other corrective action as appropriate.
- Manages the Ethics Hotline to insure that employees world-wide view the Hotline as an effective tool for reporting potential compliance violations or seeking guidance.
- Develops effective compliance training programs to educate employees on the legal and ethical standards that apply to their jobs and insures that such training reflects the latest develops in law and business ethics.
Ms. White was previously Director of Compliance & Senior Counsel for Underwriters Laboratories. She is a graduate of University of Notre Dame, School of Law and Northwestern University.
Johnson Controls (JCI) wants to put you in the driver’s seat — an environmentally conscious one. The company makes car batteries and interior parts for combustion engine and hybrid electric vehicles, as well as energy-efficient HVAC systems for commercial buildings. Products include seating, instrument panels, and a slew of electronics. OEM customers include GM, Daimler, Chrysler, and Ford. The battery unit supplies car batteries for retailers such as Advance Auto, AutoZone, Pep Boys, and Wal-Mart. The building efficiency unit makes, installs, and services mechanical equipment that controls HVAC, lighting, security, and fire systems in commercial buildings. The unit also offers on-site facility management.
